About Helena:
I remember Njom from 4-5 years ago, when functional foods were rather rare in the Estonian market. The first pioneers that come to mind are NJIE protein puddings, which tasted mega good and were completely sugar-free. That was really rare—to find something calorie-wise figure-friendly and at the same time no compromise on taste. Win, win!
By today, a ton of these “favorites” have of course crept into Njom's selection, and with every new brand added, there's an easy wow effect. Every time I think the products can't get any better/tastier/healthier, and then boom! Something again that I didn't expect or even wish for.
Currently, my favorites are definitely the recently updated look & content Nicks protein bars, waffles, and chocolates, and I am eagerly awaiting additions to the ice cream family (I've seen/heard that there is hope soon!).
I am also happy about NORR functional drinks - there are still too few sugar-free options in stores. And these drinks are not just sugar-free but also very refreshing, tasty, with vitamins & caffeine-free (yes, sometimes that's a plus!).
I don't live a completely 100% sugar-free life; it's just not possible in the current (commercial) situation. All the more, wherever possible, I avoid added sugars.
Njomi products make life so much easier - with Nicks sugar substitute you can very successfully prepare any dishes, bake cakes, etc. With Stevia drops you can make natural dairy products, iced coffee, or even your morning latte sweeter, all without added calories.
And if the classic "sweet craving" still bothers you, then 1 small chocolate (Nick's crunchy caramel is simply the best!) saves the day. Sugar-free treats don't spike blood sugar, and after some snacking, the feeling that the craving can't be satisfied disappears. Also, the high protein content in the bars helps create a feeling of fullness. Most importantly, after eating, there is no unpleasant/heavy feeling in the stomach.
Besides the fact that the products in the Njomi selection are tasty (which is very important!), their ingredient lists are impressively short. No added sugar, no palm oil, often gluten-free. Everything you really need and nothing "just as filler."
When making nutrition-related choices, you can't always base it 100% on price - it's worth considering what ingredients are hidden inside a terribly cheap product.
I've always thought that the body is like a car and food is fuel - only fill up with quality!
